Personalised care for young and old
Hip complaints have a variety of possible causes. A detailed clinical examination and precise radiological clarification is the basic prerequisite for diagnosis.
Wherever possible, conservative (non-surgical) treatments are used first (physiotherapy, manual therapy). If conservative measures do not show the desired success or are not advisable, an operation can possibly solve your problem.
Whether it is age-related wear and tear or an injury caused by an accident, we cover the entire spectrum of hip surgery.
Areas of focus

Wear and Tear of the Hip Joint
What is it? How does Osteoarthritis of the Hip develop?
A healthy joint is covered by cartilage. The contact surfaces in the joint have a smooth coating which hardly causes any friction during movement. If this joint cartilage is used up for mechanical reasons, the condition is referred to as osteoarthritis.

Femoroacetabular Impingement
What is that?
Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI): is a mechanical conflict in the hip joint. This causes the femoral neck of the femur to be trapped at the acetabular rim of the pelvis. This is caused by a deformity at the neck of the femur (CAM impingement) or at the edge of the acetabulum (pincer impingement).

Hip Pain
Pain in the hip usually starts very gradually, in rare cases accidents can also cause acute pain.
It is typical for hip pain to be felt in the groin. However, it also happens that they occur on the side of the hip or rather at the back of the buttocks.
